This warm and inviting community focused centre in Lower Hutt is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic newly graduated teacher who enjoys working closely with whanau and the community. The centre prides itself on providing excellent ongoing mentoring and support to new graduates. In particular, they:

  • enable team members to be empowered to take responsibility and contribute their strengths and competencies for the wellbeing of the whole group;
  • actively support the on-going professional development of all teachers, and undertake regular and constructive performance appraisals;
  • are committed to upholding professionalism by applying appropriate behaviours in teaching practice that reflect this commitment; and
  • believe that relationships/Whanaungatanga are paramount in the provision of quality education for the tamariki in their care.

You will be passionate about teaching young children; a great team player; flexible in your approach to each day; positive and open-minded; and, very proactive with the ability to show initiative.
